// Application: High Density Polyethylene

Polyethylene HDPE one of the most widely used plastics in the world.

HDPE plastic has several properties that make it ideal as a packaging and manufacturing product. It’s stronger than standard polyethylene, acts as an effective barrier against moisture and remains solid at room temperature. It resists insects, rot and other chemicals. HDPE creates no harmful emissions during its production or during its use by the consumer. Also, HDPE leaks no toxic chemicals into the soil or water & is recyclable.

HDPE is commonly used for cutting boards manufacturing because HDPE it has the FDA approved food contact certificate.

HDPE has a wide variety of applications including:
Cutting Boards
Outrigger Pads
Dock Fender Pads
Swimming pool installation
3-D printer filament
Arena Board (puck board)
Backpacking frames
Ballistic plates
Banners
Bottle caps
Chemical-resistant piping
Coax cable inner insulator
Food storage containers
Fuel tanks for vehicles
Corrosion protection for steel pipelines
Electrical and plumbing boxes
Far-IR lenses
Folding chairs and tables
Geomembrane for hydraulic applications (such as canals and bank reinforcements) and chemical containment
Heat-resistant firework mortars
Hard hats
Natural gas distribution pipe systems
Fireworks
Plastic bottles suitable both for recycling (such as milk jugs) or re-use
Plastic lumber
Plastic surgery (skeletal and facial reconstruction)[5]
Root barrier
Snowboard rails and boxes
Stone paper
Storage sheds
Telecom ducts
Water pipes for domestic water supply and agricultural processes
Wood plastic composites (utilizing recycled polymers)

Thanks to plastics, a wide range of foods - from fresh produce to dairy products to beverages - can be transported over long distances and stored safely without compromising the quality of the product. This also helps prevent food waste.
